First of all, just like the page footer says, I don't own ThunderCats and related characters, their images, logos and all that jazz. The Warner Brothers company and Ted Wolf's estate have those honors. This site is merely a fan page, very much non-profit, and has no sort of sanction from anyone who DOES own Thundercats. I'm just one super nerdy fan with way too much time on my hands.
If anyone with lawyers and a lack of sense of humor has issue with any of that, contact me
here.
Howevah - I did seek out and purchase and/or barter my way into much of the material displayed on the site and took the time, effort and money out of my own life to make them available on the Web to be enjoyed by fellow nerds. While, if you swipe and repost stuff sans credit I can't do too much besides piss and moan a lot and maybe, stop sharing the juicy stuff in the future, it would be courteous if ya kept a few common rules of courtesy in mind if you want to "borrow" the site's original content.
While I don't mind if you borrow pics and files from this page that I made, I do ask two things if you do so:
1) If you use the material in public (like on your webpage, etc), please give me credit and link back to me. This includes linking to any part of my site from yours -- please make it clear to your visitors that they are going outside your site and into mine, when including any of my content on your own page.
2) Put any files you take from here on your own server (or use freebee storage such as photobucket). If you just want to show someone an image by linking to it, it's best to send people to the page it's on as clicking on a link from a remote site will yield the same results as the traditional hotlink. Do not hotlink (i.e. directly link) to the pics or files on my server. That costs me money by using up bandwidth which I have to pay for when it exceeds certain limits - it's akin to stealing. And really, thanks to a handy thing called htaccess, you'll get a lame box with a red x in it for your efforts.
So, it's in your best interest to do the right thing here.
I may not own ThunderCats, but it did take a lot of time to make the various images, write up articles, and make the other media that comprise this page. It's courteous not to blatantly steal the fruits of my labor. Please do the proper thing when taking files from this site.
Thank you.
