Stephen Perry Reviewed by: Purrsia ![]() Cheetara and Tygra are trying to bring in the Feliner during a fierce electrical storm. The storm damages their ship so badly that Panthro is going to have to try to talk them down. Then, Snarf bursts in babbling about the Thunderkittens and how they're not back home yet. Lion-O goes to check on them with the Sword but the interference from the storm keeps him from seeing where they're at. The kittens are indeed out in the storm and at first take shelter under a tree - which lightning promptly splits in two (um, didn't they learn not to do that after the Rock Giant fiasco? lol). Deciding that choice of shelter wasn't so great, they spot an old suspension capsule left over from their wrecked space ship. They get the idea that it'd be safe, warm and dry there and so climb on in. The only problems are: A) They can't get the lid back open and B) Kit's communicator isn't doing such a hot job getting through the capsule and the storm so they don't know if help will come or not. Unfortunately for them, the Mutants pick up on their signal... Meanwhile, Lion-O and Snarf head out in the Tank to look for the cunning duo but thanks to a few fiery rocks falling out of the sky (yes, this is a HELLA storm, folks), the Tank is pinned under the Lair's mighty paw. Not only that, but one of those derned rocks took out the draw bridge, too. This delay gives Slithe enough time to hitch up to the capsule and drag the trapped kittens back to Castle Plundarr with the Nose Diver. When Mumm-Ra spies the goings-on at the Castle, he decides to claim the kittens for himself. Of course, the Mutants don't take this lying down but there's little they can do about it, what with red lightning frying their backsides. Mumm-Ra leaves with the kittens in his possession. With more damage to the Feliner, it looks like their landing is doomed - til Lion-O guides them down with the Cat Signal. Now that Cheetara and Tygra are safely on terra firma, they can all give their attention to finding the Thunderkittens, spurred on by a vision of Cheetara's. But with the Feliner out of commission and the ThunderTank stuck, getting there is half the problem. But thanks to a few well placed charges, the Tank is freed and they're off! (Off, that is, with only a minor setback where the draw bridge is concerned. You'd think with all the rumble tumble shit the Tank does, they'd put seatbelts in the passenger compartment or something lol) They arrive at Castle Plundarr in time to see Mumm-Ra fly off with the capsule - and kittens - in tow. Lion-O hitches a ride thanks to a well placed shot with the claw line but once they arrive at the Pyramid ahead of the other ThunderCats, Lion-O finds Mumm-Ra a tough opponent. In fact, he's almost defeated until the Kittens get Mumm-Ra's attention. When Mumm-Ra goes to investigate, they blow what appears to be a huge bubble courtesy of their capsule weapons and Mumm-Ra sees his reflection in it. Lame, lame, lame. Anywho, the kittens are taken back to the Lair after the Tank arrives and it's there that the big question of how to get them out is pondered. All suggestions could potentially harm the kittens. Finally, Snarf just gives the capsule a swift smack with his tail...and the darn thing opens. For those keeping track, this is the second time the Thunderkittens were stupid enough to stand under a tree during a storm. comment system disabled temporarily thanks to spam happy assholes!
