Pretty damn good, but not quite purrrfect

This episode marks the kittens' first showing with their spaceboards, and we quickly learn Kat can't fly fer beans.

Meanwhile, Panthro is busy installing cool little voice activated comm devices in all the ThunderCats' weapons for the purpose of "total communication".

Next, we see Lion-O scribbling in the dirt with the SoO at that weird Stone Henge-type place where he'd fought Tashi a few episodes back. As Lion-O writes "THUNDERA" in the sand, Jaga appears and notes that Lion-O seems homesick. Lion-O proceeds to bombard the dead jaguar with queries about Thundera. Jaga's response is to instruct the young Lord to find the time capsule that the Tcats had brought with them from Thundera. He explained that the capsule's nuclear opti-crystal would project a holographic history of the planet from its early history until the time of its destruction.

Lion-O rushes back to the Lair where Tygra confirms what Jaga had said: they brought a time capsule with them, but they thought it must have been destroyed when they crash-landed on Third Earth. The adult Tcats set out to search for the capsule, leaving the kittens at the Lair where it's safe. Kit, echoing cub Lion-O's words in "Exodus", declares that "safe is boring" and they leave anyhow.

Now, we basically get a grand tour of the wacky and enchanted place that is Third Earth. First  up to run into trouble is Lion-O and Snarf at the River of Despair. As they attempt to wade across the River, Lion-O meets up with the Black Widow Shark. Luckily, the female Unicorn Keeper appears and shows the Thunder-duo how to activate the Bridge of Light. When they get halfway across, the Shark starts ramming the bridge. Lion-O, being the boy genius he is (*cough cough*), gets the bright idear to try to zap the Shark with the Sword. Too bad the light bridge absorbs the Sword's energy, causing it to  crumble. He and Snarf barely make it to the other side.

Tygra, oddly enough, is searching for the capsule in the tunnels of the molemen (personally, I think Tygra was hoping to find Silky again,  rather than that dumb capsule....detox is a bitch). There, he meets the gold-driven Mole Master and they square off whip to whip. Even after driving off their cruel master, Tygra couldn't get much info outta the molemen concerning the capsule's whereabouts.

As for Cheetara and Panthro, they have their own troubles while searching. She deals wtih a swamp snake while he takes on a pair of Crab Men.
The kittens nearly become a Shark snack as they fly over the River of Despair on their spaceboards. The Shark managed to munch on Kit's spaceboard. It qualified as fiber at least, I suppose.

Finally, after a brief run-in with a rock-man, Lion-O spots something shiny in a cave ("Ooooh, lookit the peeerdy shiny ob-gee-ect, Snarf!" ok.....just kidding. This isn't Thunderbillies afterall)

Using Second Sight, Lion-O becomes sure that he's found the capsule. After summoning the others, he and Snarf run to the cave only to find its occupant, a bulky hunk-uva caveman, demanding that Lion-O arm wrestle for the capsule. We also learn that Snarf is one shitty cheerleader! Sheesh, with Snarf's brand of "confidence", it's a wonder Lion-O has a shred of self esteem.
Lion-O wins the contest, of course. And the kittens show up at the last minute only to get themselves grounded for leaving the Lair.

New Sword Tricks:

The SoO was used to shoot an energy beam from its tip for the first time

Canon Fact of Note:

Jaga so kindly reveals that Lion-O was 12 years old when they fled Thundera. So if he spent 10 galacto years in suspension, that makes Lion-O roughly 22 (assuming a galacto year differs little from a plain ole year). How I came up with Lion-O being 20 for my fic, I dunno. But math never was my strong suit haha.
