Bob Haney Reviewed by: Purrsia  By mere fate and chance, part of a glacier on Hook Mountain melts to reveal a hulk of an ice man beneath. The newly reanimated man can't seem to speak, but he does appear to recognize Snowman's castle and proceeds to approach it. Alarmed, Snowman mounts an attack. But he proves no match for the stranger's icy breath and is frozen, leaving Snowmeow to go for help. Lion-O is on duty at the Lair and knows as soon as he sees Snowmeow approaching the Lair alone that something must be wrong. Wanting to help his friend, Lion-O sets off for Hook Mountain. The Ice King is now inside Snowman's fortress by the time Lion-O arrives. They fight, but although Lion-O was more of a challenge than Snowman, an icy twister disarms him then freezes him. As a result of their skirmish, an avalanche of such proportions occurs, that snow ends up covering the Plain of Fertility and half-burying the Lair. Taking the Sword of Omens in his mouth, Snowmeow once again sets out for help. He finds the others coming back from a day out in the ThunderTank. Since he has the Sword of Omens, the 'Cats decide to follow. Cheetara manages to get the Sword into Lion-O's hand and he thaws out. In turn, he's able to unfreeze the ThunderTank after it also failed against the Ice King. They decide to stand back and watch as the Ice King appears to be going after something specific in a chamber below the castle. Using second sight, Lion-O sees what it is the Ice King is after - some kind of egg guarded by a dragon. They quickly decide to help the stranger, hoping that maybe if he gets what he's after he'll go away. They do defeat the dragon but it gets a little hot in the process. But before the Ice Man melts, he gets what he was after. He gazes a moment into a hole in the egg, then melts into a puddle. Curious, the others look into the egg as well and are shocked at what they see. It's merely a scene out of the Ice King's past (1,000 years ago to be exact), of him and his love when they were young. An amusing scene follows as Snowman explains 'the curse' of the egg as the others play 'hot potato' with it - until it falls down into a chasm. At which time Snowman finishes with 'whoever owns the egg will be happy, with lots of riches and a large family.' Oops. Cougar: Did anyone notice that in this particuular episode, Snowman was referred to as SNOW KNIGHT? I see what others have been talking about as it relates to continuity within the scripts... although in later eps, this particular ThunderCat ally is known as SNOWMAN.
