Stephen Perry Reviewed by Brandon Tomblin (aka Alluro Fan) Site: TF Archive as Jhiaxus Email: king_sexy18@hotmail.com ![]() Ratar-O, an evil Mutant warrior goes to the Planet of Snarfs and kidnaps Snarfer, who is Snarf's nephew. Ratar-O then goes to Third Earth in his ship, the Rat Star. Ratar-O believes that Slithe is incapable of leading the Mutants and takes command for himself. Vultureman then quickly sides with Ratar-O as he forces Slithe, Monkian, and Jackalman to work for him. Meanwhile, the Thundercats learn that Ratar-O and the Mutants have Snarfer and they go out to meet the Rat Star in battle. With help from the sword, Lion-O makes the Rat Star crash and the Mutants are defeated. The Thundercats then go to Castle Plun-Darr to free Snarfer from his shackles. The Thundercats realize that they can not return Snarfer to the Planet of Snarfs, since they don't have a spaceship. This gives them the idea to build their new spaceship, the Feliner. Wow, not only did a lot of snarves survive Thundera's destruction, but they managed to find an empty planet to colonize. Why??? WHYYYYYYYYYY???? *ahem* This episode marks both Ratar-O's and Snarfer's debut. And yes, this is where we learn Snarf's real name is Osbert. PKELL: The Feliner 2 Parter is an interesting piece of T-Cat history as it is the only 2 parter in the series.

- Part 1 is very good overall, even if we do get introduced to Snarfer. Like I've said in other reviews, I love episodes that are centered around The Mutants, as they were some of my favorite characters, and this one provides some good moments for Slythe (who gets knocked down a few pegs) and Vultureman, who shows his willingness to go against Slythe for the first time.

- Ratar-O was a great addition to the show, and its really a shame that he didn't become a regular presence for the remainder of season 1. There is great backstory in this one too as we get to hear a little bit about Snarf's past, and the Mutants' as well.

- The battle between the Thundertank and The Rat Star is one of the best in the history of the show. Beautifully animated and well put together. leppardra: "The Feliner, Part 1" is a bit heavy-handed for my liking. The noteworthy things about it are the debuts of Snarf's real name, his nephew Snarfer, the Planet of the Snarfs, Ratar-O, and his RatStar spaceship. The writers should have done a bit more delving into the Planet of the Snarfs; I would have liked to have known more about it other than a part of it seems to grow pink foliage. I saw an animation glitch where Cheetara's spots weren't completely filled in. And they had Larry Kenney give one "HO" too many; it started to grate on my nerves after a while.
