Pretty darn good but not quite purrfect.

On New Thundera, Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt locate the site of the Sword of Plun-Darr and are able to free it from it’s firey grave. Meanwhile, Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Snarf, and Snarfer arrive on New Thundera in the Feliner. They all decide that before they go out to stop Mumm-Ra and free the enslaved Snarves, they should all get some rest first. Panthro takes first watch for the night, but after a few hours, Snarf offers to take over so Panthro can rest too. After Panthro goes to sleep, Snarf wakes Snarfer up and the two set out on their own to rescue the Snarves from Mumm-Ra.

The next morning, Lion-O and the others wake up to find that Snarf and Snarfer are gone and Panthro is furious that Snarf conned him into switching guard duty. The group then heads out to find their missing furball friends before they get caught by Mumm-Ra. At Mumm-Ra’s new pyramid, the Snarves are hard at work, digging for the treasure. Just then, two of the Snarves, Eggbert and Oswalt dig up a big golden bracelet with the Thundercats’ symbol on it. Ma-Mutt notices this and quickly takes the bracelet to Mumm-Ra. Ma-Mutt enters the pyramid and wakes his master from his sarcofigus. Mumm-Ra sees the bracelet and tells Ma-Mutt to make the Snarves work harder.

Meanwhile, Snarf and Snarfer have arrived at Mumm-Ra’s new pyramid, where the captive Snarves continue to dig for the Treasure of Thundera. The two Snarves manage to sneak by Ma-Mutt and infiltrate the cave that the captive Snarves are digging in. Snarf and Snarfer then find Eggbert and Oswalt. The four Snarves have a joyful reunion, with Ma-Mutt watching the whole time. The dog then runs to Mumm-Ra’s sarcofigus and wakes the mummy from his slumber. Mumm-Ra then looks in the cauldron and sees Snarf and Snarfer with Eggbert and Oswalt. He determines from this that the Thundercats must be on New Thundera. Mumm-Ra then transforms to his Ever-Living form and goes out to meet Snarf and Snarfer. Meanwhile, Snarf and Snarfer tell their relatives that the Thundercats are on New Thundera as well and that they’ll make “mince meat” out of Mumm-Ra. Just then, Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt appear and capture Snarf, Snarfer, and Eggbert. However, Oswalt is able to escape. Mumm-Ra realizes that Oswalt will eventually find the Thundercats and bring them to him. He then states that when the Thundercats arrive, he’ll use the Sword of Omen’s sight beyond sight to locate the Treasure of Thundera.

When Snarf claims that Mumm-Ra will never be able to convince Lion-O to help him, Mumm-Ra states that he won’t have to and that Snarfer will. Meanwhile, Oswalt runs into the Thundercats and tell them what Mumm-Ra has done with the others and they all journey to Mumm-Ra’s pyramid. Inside the sarcofigus room, Mumm-Ra transforms himself into Snarfer and has Ma-Mutt lock the Snarves up while he goes out to trick the Thundercats. Oswalt leads the Thundercats to the pyramid just as “Snarfer” makes his way outside. Cheetara is suspicious from the start, but the others brush it off. “Snarfer” tells Lion-O that Mumm-Ra left Thundera with the captured Snarves as soon as he learned the Thundercats were there. “Snarfer” then tells Lion-O that he can use the sword’s sight beyond sight to locate the treasure. Lion-O does so and uses the sword’s power to free the treasure from where it’s buried. As soon as he does, “Snarfer” starts loving on the treasure like there’s no tomorrow. The sword signal blares to warn the others, but it’s too late, as Mumm-Ra sheds his Snarfer disquise. The ‘Cats attack Mumm-Ra, but with the help of the Sword of Plun-Darr, he’s able to defeat them and keep hold of the Treasure of Thundera.

Purrsia's Two Cents:

Either Lion-O had another "blonde" moment or Mumm-Ra really is an evil genius...either way [in my best faux English accent] good show!

leppardra: I do like this installment. It's a kick watching Snarf trick Panthro into calling it a night so Snarf and his nephew can sneak off to free Mumm-Ra's enslaved snarfs . Amusingly, this part shows the ThunderCats to be very sound sleepers; Snarf and Snarfer talk loud enough to wake the dead, but the nearby 'Cats just snooze on! The downside is Mumm-Snarfer. The 'Cats aren't the only ones to have a blonde moment here. The Eye of Thundera doesn't sense danger from Mumm-Snarfer until the Treasure of Thundera is located. I guess you can say the Eye of Thundera turned a "blonde eye" to Mumm-Ra until it was too late! Yeah, I know. Bad joke.
