Peter Lawrence Reviewed by: Brandon Tomblin (aka Alluro Fan) Site: TF Archive as Jhiaxus Email: king_sexy18@hotmail.com  Lion-O, Cheetara, Pumyra, and Snarf arrive at the Tower of Omens in the Thundertank just as Red Eye and Tug Mug are leaving in the Lunattacker with Lynx-O and the Thunderkittens as their prisoners. Lion-O blasts the Lunattacker with his sword and it falls apart, as if it was made out of cheap plastic. He then frees Lynx-O and the Thunderkittens and the two Lunatacs retreat back to Sky Tomb. At Sky Tomb, Vultureman gets on Luna’s case about not sending all the Lunatacs to sieze the Tower of Omens. However, Luna won’t tolerate any of Vultureman’s lecturing and has Amok throw him out of Sky Tomb. Vultureman then decides to go it on his own in order to find out what the Thundercats are up to. Vultureman then goes to ‘Cats Lair and uses a voice scanner of some kind to hear the Thundercats’ conversation. He learns that Mumm-Ra is on Thundera and that the Thundercats are going after him in the Feliner. This gives Vultureman the idea to repair Ratar-O’s broken down Rat Star to ambush them before they even leave Third Earth. Vultureman would then go to Thundera himself to give the news of the Thundercats demise to Mumm-Ra, for a hefty reward, of course. While Vultureman is repairing the Rat Star at Castle Plun-Darr, Slithe looks on from inside with great interest, wondering what the coniving bird is up to and decides to keep close watch on him. Back at ‘Cats Lair, the Thundercats are shown that something strange has happened on the new Thundera. It turns out that the planet is now under the influence of the Moons of Plun-Darr, where the Lunatacs come from. One moon has the power to make one region of the planet into total snow and ice, with sub-zero temperatures. This region is known as the Caverns Of Cold. Another moon has the power to create dense gravity around a mountain, making it almost impossible for one to walk up it. This place is referred to as the Mountains of the Moon. After learning that a few of the other areas of Thundera are under “unique” conditions, Panthro and Tygra come up with the idea to come up with special equipment and clothing to help them navigate through the planet in their search for Mumm-Ra and the treasure. Later, Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, Snarf, and Snarfer head out in the Feliner for Thundera. While they are gone, Lion-O has instructed Bengali and Wilykit to guard ‘Cats Lair and Lynx-O, Pumyra, and Wilykat will guard the Tower of Omens. Meanwhile, Vultureman gets the Rat Star repaired and takes off, leaving the other Mutants behind…or so we think. Turns out that Slithe has stowed away in the Rat Star and it’s just Monkian and Jackalman that will be left behind. Vultureman tells Slithe that he’s going to stop the Thundercats from going to Thundera and the pair rush towards the Feliner in the sky. After the two ships battle for a few minutes, Vultureman uses the Vary Cannon and the Feliner is frozen stiff, along with all the occupants…except the two Snarfs. Ugh. Turns out the Vary Cannon doesn’t work on Snarves, for some odd reason. Snarf and Snarfer try to get Lion-O and the others to snap out of their gaze, but to no avail. As the Feliner begins crashing towards Third Earth, Snarf tries to force Lion-O’s hand to grab the sword in the hope that it will somehow free the leader of his frozen state. Lion-O manages to get his hand around the sword and slowly comes out of it. He is then able to use the sword to cure Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, and the Feliner. The Feliner then heads back to go another round with the Rat Star. When Vultureman gets ready for another blast with the Vary Cannon, Bengali and Wilykit arrive in the Thunderclaw and help the ‘Cats in the Feliner escape their Mutant attackers. Just as the ‘Cats in the Feliner prepare to leave Third Earth’s atmosphere, they receive an urgent message from Lynx-O at the Tower. Lynx-O informs them that Mumm-Ra has located the Sword of Plun-Darr and is about to take possession of it! I'm really sick of Snarves having all these things that bring down the super-heroes not affect them. The Vary Canon doesn't effect them...what the hell?? The "hey, snarf can save the day" story line was cute once or twice, but now it just makes me gag! No comments yet.
