These are other noteworthy ThunderCat moments from the year that was 2002. Thanks to everyone who tossed out an idea or two.
**Fan Fiction.net no longer hosting NC-17 fics, despite a huge movement to protest -- complete with a petition signed by thousands. A good thing that came out of that was the numerous new fan fiction sites that stepped in to provide a home for adult oriented stories.
**According to a site whose visitors have nothing better to do but belittle other sites, RD not only wrote himself into "Oh Lion-O!" as Lion-O, but he married himself off to me, too. Boy, either they need to learn how to analyze a piece of literature properly, or they need a new hobby. Or both.
**Cheezey returns to the fandom! And eventually, she relents and creates a special forum just for flamers on her message board. Oh what fun that has been.
**Speaking of flamer hangouts, the old TCA Board finally bit the dust. The new TCA Board is foundering, despite its newer and sleeker design. I blame a lack of a redirection page for that. Another favorite message board, gone from the net forever.
**Cartoon Network once again began showing TCats and once again, they removed it from their lineup. Grrrrr. 2002 also marked another year of enthusiastic people wishing to start a petition to protest such programming gaffes, but nothing came of it.
**The ThunderLibs made a few of you chuckle, apparently.
**A disgruntled Celesta Johnston removed her much admired artwork and stories from the web.
**Interest in RPGs seemed to blossom this year. Cheezey brought back the original New Thundera game as well.
**The TCATGR once again survived its share of controversies and arguments and is going strong. That means more strange fics for 2003! YAY!
Updates for Purrsia's ThunderCat Fan Fiction:
After a hectic few months, I'm ready to get cracking on fan fic again. Expect the new chapter to debut in a week or so.
Also, the Balkan Jukebox has returned after a nearly 2 week hiatus. Being busy and my husband's hogging of the PC at the normal airtimes were the main reason for the silencing of the Juke.
The downloads section has been taken down due to excessive bandwidth usage for December. An unprecedented 12 gigs was used before the month was even over. Since I removed those monstrous files, bandwidth hasn't been an issue. Some of you may wonder when I'll bring back the downloads section. Hopefully, soon. I'm thinking of changing webhosts anyway, and I'm looking into one that offers a lot more bandwidth per month. Otherwise, the downloads will only be available the last week of the month. What can I say? I'm not rich and neither are my online pals :-p
As always, I'm working on coordinating more live chats :) I'll keep you all posted.
