2. not applicable :/ (uk resident)
3. Canadians don't get this *sigh* Plus I've got all the eps on tape. :P
4. I need a subscription of pills that remvoves the need for sleep. And I need to work at night, too....

Poll results for the week of February 11, 2002 -- This is a publicity shot for a doomed live-action version of ThunderCats that I found on Ebay awhile back.** Now, whether you're laughing hysterically, stunned beyond stunned, or gouging your eyes out, try to find it within yourself to take this weeks ThunderPoll. It asks the burning question: WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?!
What in Jaga's name is wrong with that picture?:

Three words. LionO in leather. 4 (13%)
Why is Cheetara such a dog? 4 (13%)
It's all 50 shades of wrong 9 (30%)

1. Thank Jaga that movie failed to see the light of day! Can you imagine what Snarf or Mumm-Ra or the Mutants woulda looked like??
2. My eyes! They're burning! NO! They're melting! GAAAAAH!
3. I like the stage makeup okay, but..the costuming is DUMB!!! oitherwise I like it. I needed a good laugh.
4. It makes me almost sorry I got the laser surgery . . .
5. It wasnt the picture that got me- it was the poll questions that had me rolling on the floor!
6. Seriously....are they dressed up to make a movie or go trick or treating?? :-p
7. Oh gods! Burn it! Send it back to hell!!!
8. It's a sad day for ThunderCat fans everywhere.
9. Its bad, but at least Cheetara looks fit, which can only be a good thing :)
10. EEP!!! I know it was the 80's, but come on people! Ya coulda done better!!!
11. Lion-O needs to show more skin -- in other words, lose the pants!

**Disclaimer Thing-er: It was brought to my attention sometime after I took this poll that the above pic IS NOT for a failed ThunderCat movie, as the ebay auction claimed. According to an email I received, it's just a shot made by ameteurs and fellow fans, who were dressing up etc. In that light, it's really not so bad. Ah well, we got a good laugh out of it when we thought it was done by "pros"!

3. Scooper. No cat needs a robotic dog!!
4. Any character I see in their undies has GOTTA go. Like when Bragg got shook out of his clothes in one ep...
5. Because I HATE Mandora! She is just a power tripping, up tight, little snot nose!
6. Bragg's just a lame-arse W. C. Fields, and his crow's just a pale imitation of Groucho Marx. Evil! Burn them at the stakes and send their cartoon souls into oblivion!

2. Tygra addicted to drugs -- what's not to love?
3. My favorite is the Time Capsule strictly because of the armwrestling scene. The animation is great! Lion-O's biceps really ripple and *pant* bulge and the sweat trickles down his massive chest *pant**pant* I'm okay . . . --Red Lioness
4. Although I have respect for Tygra as an intellectual and tolerant person, I just loved seeing him give in to temptation.

1. Al here! My "other" is tha there;s too many I;d wanna see. I would have chosen the DVD one, the cartoon movie, the next generation series one, and the prequel LOL
2. I can be happy with having the DVD. Whatever other projects happen will happen. I will die with a smile on my face just to have the original series on DVD. Please God!--Ray
3. Dr.Zhie says: An A&E biography type thing with the people who created and produced the show doing a behind the scenes look at what went into making the Thundercats.
4. I'd like to see a cartoon movie version and I would probably give my left hand to be allowed to draw an official ThunderCat comic. (I'd give my right hand, but that's the one I draw with!) --Red Lioness
5. I'd like to see them pick up where they left off. Of course, they'd have to leave the characterizations intact or the whole thing would be pointless. Having the original series on DVD is a very close runner up!
6. A cartoon network short. Like those "superfriends" shorts. Mumm-ra wants pants too!
7. We'll do an independent, live-action flic, i'll even do the script! -rd
8. What they really need is a really good Thundercats video game, preferably an RPG with a story that fits with and/or enhances the original show.

2. Yes -- RD
3. It was Panthro and the twins at one point, then Alluro, then jackalman... Now I can;t really choose a favorite. I like too many characters too much to choose one. (-Ax)
4. Tygra reminds me of my boyfriend: shy, intelligent with red hair (except my beau has freckles instead of strips) and easy to dominate!! HAHAHAHAHA! -Ray
5. Why Purrsia of course...heehee
6. Ok, which of you wise asses left that last commnet? LOL -- Purrsia
7. Just got to peek under that skirt!!
8. Hey, I was the first one to vote for Tygra!, he had 100% of the vote at the time -Spastic Minnowra
9. Tygra was one of the best characters on the show, excellantly animated by Masaki Iizuka. It was a shame the writers didn't give him much character developement on his part. Had there been, I think he and Cheetara would have made a great couple. Wouldn't you agree? -- Jeannie Lindley, A.K.A. 'The Wonderful Wandering Webserver'

2. Ya damn right! Well, OK, so I do find Alluro pretty kewl. But that damned Luna...Sweet Jesus! And the way she uses it. It's a mystery how Amuck puts up with it.
3. I had clicked on Snarfer by accident at first, realizing my error only as the page loaded! I still hate the little bugger, but Snarf is by far the worst, as he set the precendent for more of the wretched little genetic defects to crawl into the story. - Ed the Offensive
4. Damn. Someone voted for Lion-O. Who did that? Who voted him off? Oh, and Purry...uh, Purrsia. Would you care to share why you hate Panthro so much?
5. Hmmm...I too would like to know who voted for Lion-O! I owe them a cyber-smacking, heehee. And what gave ya the idear I don't like Panthro? Because I included him on the list here? 2. I loved Silky. I thought that disguise was beautiful and somewhat sexual in nature. This disguise SEDUCED Tygra into eating a forbidden fruit. LOL! --Najiba
3. I'm going with Silky. The effects were so terrific, after all.
4. Jaga. Hit Lion-O where it hurts, so to speak.

1. I say Tygra and Chet. Yes, I know there are huge fans of the Lion-O/Chet pairing the show hinted at. But I look at it this way -- realistically, I don't know how Cheetara could ever see Lion-O in a sexual way, given the bizarre circumstances of his aging. Seems like, unless she's a pervo, he'd always seem like a little boy in a buff bod to her. So I think Tygra and Chet make more sense together. -- Purrsia
2. I voted Lion-O and Cheetara cause they woulda made a cute couple
3. What kind of twisted person would be so cruel as to stick Mumm-Ra with *gag* LUNA?! Surely the poor mummy can't be that bad to have deserved such a fate! I say put him with Cheetara or Pumyra ('cause don't ya know, true love redeems heh heh), or that princess Ta-she (she looked like she was from the same pantheon as him), or even Mumm-Rana (need I explain?). ~ The Demonprist
4. I agree with Purrsia about the 'little boy in a buff bod' bit as far as Liono is concerned. Tygra and Cheetara are much better suited to one another.
5. I've only seen eps from the first season and from the characters in that season i think Tygra and Cheetara make the best couple. personally, i feel that personality-wise, Tygra and Cheetara balance each other out perfectly whereas Cheetara in many ways is a bit too similar to Liono and Panthro to be 'compatible' with either of them. - GKat
6. I voted for Ben and Pumyra. I don't see how anyone could stick Lion-O and Cheetara together. I would give the who situation a creepy 'Mrs. Robinson' feel. If she did have those kinds of feelings for him, he's probably too old for her now. WilyKat had better start watching his back. -- Red Lioness
7. I voted for Cheetara and Tygra. Panthro is a seemingly "ladies' man" and really up for action with anyone female from a randy Warrior Maiden to a wayward Bolkan girl. I find it difficult to see Cheetara in a romantic relationship with Lion-O because he's a small boy trapped in the body of a man. At the risk of being redundant.... Imagine how disconcerting it would to be to have to explain that there is no such thing as a "bad touch" anymore. Tygra and Cheetara were together more, and they seemed to have more outward concern for each other's welfare than the other's. Bengali and Pumyra together are a given...several years on a deserted island with an old blind man and a couple of berbils? I'd be more concerned, and yes, disturbed, if they DIDN'T give in to the fell passion of the "horizontal mambo" every once and awhile- Thundercatroar
8. I had to vote for the Ben and Tyg one, just for the future love of my life, R.D.- >;) Play the guessing game
9. It seems like everyone forgot about the best and sweetest Thundercat couple of all. WilyKit and WilyKat. SPRINGERMOMENT!!!!!!!!!!
10. Oh, is Panthro really that horny? Go figure. Anywho, I voted fer the tigers. So sue me, I'm a yaoi fan. Although Ben and Pummy are also a great couple.
11. Oh, come on people - Panthro and Cheetara should most definately be paired up. It's almost a leia/han thing...he fixes stuff, she shoots at things and hardly ever misses; he swears and is very, very attached to his vehicle, she um...hmmm...i'll think of something later... -Zhie wait! i got it! she has some sort of special mind control power thing (force vs sixth sense) but either doesn't really realize or doesn't quite know how to use it...see, lots of correlations...hmm...can't remember now why i was coming up with those...I shall now go find all those people who put her with Tygra, of all people, and set them straight...

1. I never get tired of ripping on that wuss of a cat, Tygra. That's what being in the ATB (Anti-Tiger Base) is all about! Besides, I think RD would agree that Tygra's water phobia is a good thing...I mean, who wants water logged drapes? >:) -- Purrsia
2. Oh? Ya jest can't stop pickin on da poor tiger, ne? But ya, he's a wuss, ah grant ya dat. And whar's da ATB at? Ah ain't no tiger hater, but dat stripe boy is fun to make fun of. Dat, and T-cats is full o' cheap plots on da whole. *cough cough* Jeez, I damn near forgot I'm not in Georgia anymore. But Tygra's still wussy, no denying that. --sincerely, you're friendly Panthro-loving anime otaku and ex-Georgian, Dynasty San
3. Seeing as how Tygra was swimming just fine while being completely visible in the intake pipe in the ep "Fireballs of Plundarr", it's a bloody obvious plot device. can't remember who wrote Safari Joe but the guy could definitely have come up with something better than that. must have either had a case of writers block or was seriously indulging in Silky fruit - GKat
4. Heh heh, or sleep in a water-logged blanket, ewww! -- RD
5. Yeah, I feel that is was a cheap plot device. Tigers are excellent swimmers. I don't get it. Hmmm. I don't think they could come up with some thing for Tygra. Is it because he is TOO cool?! LOL - Najiba
6. I think that he's a little VAIN about his hair, and to have it wet is not something he wants the others to see, or he'll never hear the end of it, like when panthero learned what Snarf's real name was, and harped on it for the whole episode, and Snarf remained sensetive to that name for the rest of the entire series(I know! let's contact him and say "Hi Osbert!" if he complains...SUFFERRRR!
7. Whoever wrote 'Safari Joe' and came up with that idea obviously didn't know much about tigers. Of all the big cats, tigers are the best swimmers, only jaguars come close. If anyone was to have hydrophobia it should have been Cheetara as cheetahs cannot swim at all. hell they don't even go near water except to drink. my vote is for cheap plot device, if i had another vote i'd put if for other - The writer didn't know much about tigers and couldn't come up with anything better at the time. although someone's suggestion about him indulging in Silky fruit while writing that bit sounds plausible too. *g* - The mad lurker.
8. I vote for water trauma as a cub. As long as he has his whip, it gives him that little extra boost to overcome his psychosis. The reason he was swimming fine when he was visible in "Fireballs of Castle Plundarr" was that he didn't notice it was gone, so he didn't panic and start floundering -- Red Lioness
9. Sorry Red Lioness, i recently recorded the ep 'Fireballs of Plundarr' when it aired on Cartoon Network and when he turned visible in the intake pipe, he clearly 'thinks'"I've lost my whip" so he definitely knew he'd lost it - GKat
10. Perhaps he pretends not to get sympathy from the others and to seem more like one of the group. He's definately intellegent, and he's athletic & has the good looks going for him. So, he thinks up the brilliant idea to pretend he can't swim so that he can say, "look, I have a character flaw!". And maybe it's not so much that he can't swim, but that he's a tiger who doesn't particularly like water. Safari Joe snagging him by creating the instant swimming pool caught him a bit off guard - even a good swimmer could have had problems dealing with that sort of surprise attack. -Zhie

1. You know, half those Silky Fruit cores on Tygra's bedroom floor in the "Garden of Delights" episode were courtesy of Panthro. Don't let his innocent act fool you. And yes, tis my opine he had a bad psychedelic trip involving bats. What a pity. -- Purrsia
2. Well, why shouldn't he be afraid of bats? After all, they get caught in your hair. >:) -- Red Lioness
3. Wicked!- Cole
4. What hair, Red?
5. My vote is for tough guys having a weak spot. my guess is he got scared by a bat as a cub (probably when playing truant *g*) and now has a phobia for them. plus he, by his own admission, hates spiders too. he dropped Bushy in a real hurry and wouldn't get out of the Thundertank when confronted with Spidera. ah well, i like tough guys with weak points. makes them easier to relate to - Gkat.

1. I liked the comicbook but I am still waiting to see what they do with it. At first I didn't like the drawings but it quickly grew on me. I don't like the way Cheetara looks though. :-( I think that the Thunder Twins looked adorable. Well reading the back pages, Ford Gilmore assured the readers that it will be in keeping of the original TCats(He did say he would streamline a bit, like making them smarter. Cool). I am going to hold him to it. I can't wait to read more. --Najiba
2. Can't say I really care for Campbell's art, a little too funky for my tastes. I thought Panthro's fight scene was pretty cool though. --Essex
3. Yeah, Campbell's art was a bit off. Is it just me or does it look like Tygra had some unsuccessful rhinoplasty? And why doesn't Panthro have lips? The fight scenes were cool, though. -- Red Lioness
4. It's differnt alright, and I did like the idea of the T-cats packing an attitude - "Die Mumm-Ra....DIE!" However, the kids are becoming teens, and personsonally, when that happens, I'm diving for cover!
5. I liked how the Mutants were drawn, especially now that Jackalman looked more like a canine, but I wasn't all that pleased with the way the TCats were drawn. Overall, a good start, though. Looking at the back pages, I think I'll like McGuinness' artwork, better. Can't wait for #1 :D --Servali
6. The art work was real good and i can't wait to see more of it. As for the storyline well i will hold off until the series get started for real.

1. I definitely like McGuinness' style in #1 better than Campbell's (from #0). Kit and Kat are drawn a bit oddly, but nothing that majorly bothers me. However, I like the colouring by Studio XD in issue #0 better than I like the colouring by Chris Walker w/ WildStorm in issue #1. Just a preference, nothing more. Overall, I liked the issue, especially when WilyKat says, "Stupid shadow-creatures", lol. I just wish I could see how McGuinness draws Mutants, or how any of them draw Lunattacks :( --Servali

1. The Gyroscope indeed. Yech. --Purrsia
2. The Gyroscope..grrr Okey in my fan fiction.. it dosn't exsist, mumm-ra used his power to reform the planint and jagara dosn't exist! ~unicornwalker
3. The WHOLE episode "The Swan Song"! What a putrescent, stupid, crappy, sorry runny monkey poop turd licking piece of crap episode that was! It was more like "Craptain Planet and the Puketeers" than Thundercats! That and any episode that hinted at romantic envolvement between Cheetara and Lion-O. I ani't even gonna' get started on THAT!
4. Pick one. I'd choose any one of those options.
5. It was a hard choice between the Gyroscope and New Thundera re-forming, but I finally settled on the latter. If that hadn't happened, there would be no Gyroscope, so that doubles the cringe-factor. -- Red Lioness
6. As ridiculous as the Circus Train was, after watching the toons in succession for days on end, I admit I was glad for anyone or anything to get rid of the Lunatacs!! But honestly, the gryoscope thing got soooo anoying!! Honestly after 20,000 episodes focused on Mumm-Ra attacking the Gyroscope and incompetent Jaguara failing to stop him, I was ready for Mumm-Ra to just blow the thing up and be done with it so we could have a new storyline!!!! For crying out loud!! LOL - Mike Ford
7. The episode where Lion-O was killed and then "reincarnated" by Jaga.
8. Lion-Ho would be totally helpless without that damned sword...that, and Obi-I mean, JagASS. ~Mumm-Ra
9. Some of the Kitten's pellets make me cringe, to say the least. I mean, inflatable dinosaurs? Geysers? Little electric jellybeans? They have the most incomprehensible arsenal, and it hangs around their waists!---Tygra

1. The cover art was at least pretty cool, and so I was surprised by the horrid interpretations of the chars on the inside. Furthermore, the Mutants and Tygra were note to be scene in the issue, so what was the deal with featuring them on the covers? Hmmmm...Maybe Wildstorm got a shipment of Silky Fruit, mwahahhaaha. ;) I'm really hoping the second series exceeds this one in both story and artwork. One can dream, eh? -- Purrsia
2. Issue #3's art was horrible. I prefer #0's art overall because it brought the thundercats back to live and looked real. McGuiness did great with #1 and #2 since it looked like a cartoon and that's what Thundercats are. #3 looks like the art was done and then the dog came and ripped up the paper and it was taped back together!!! The Thundercats have bubble jaws and it's terrible! Gilmore is writing a good storyline still, but get McGuiness and Martin back or have long waits between the issue releases and bring back the sepurb work of J. Scott Campbell. Overall, Issue #3 was a huge disappointment and should not have been released with artwork that looks like that! It's terrible! AHHHHH! Props to McGuiness/Martin and Campbell for their stellar artwork and shame to Herrera and Cuevas on issue #3

1. I felt it could have perhaps went beyond the basic description of appearance and personality of the key players, and maybe included a few more minor characters. Otherwise, the art was pretty kool, and of the information provided, it was accurrate. :) --Purrsia
2. I wonder why the Mutants got individual treatments but the Lunattacks didn't. Kinda odd. Grune was really oddly drawn in the face. Looks like his nose it two wide and he has no neck. Hachiman is drawn very well, though, and the rest of the artwork is decent. The commentary was lacking for me, but over at the DC/WildStorm/ThunderCats forum, there are those who appreciate being re-familiarised with the characters, which makes everything alright in my book, hehe. Oddity: No mention of Snarfer. Not that I'm complaining.... ---Servali
3. Really? Where can I get one?
4. Where can ya get a source book? At your local comics store, I imagine. It's just a short version put out by Wildstorm...nothing too elaborate but there nonetheless ;) -- Purrsia
5. Thanx.

1. Here's the deal...as I said in my newsletter, I've been thinking about doing that Cafe Press thing (or something similar), where I create some site-related master*cough*piece and put it on a shirt, mug, toaster cover, etc. Because I don't want to go to jail for copyrite violations, I'll have to stick with vague allusions to ThunderCats and focus more on the original characters and things from my site. So, before I venture this way, I kinda wanna know if it's even worth it as far as fan interest...so...er, lemme know! Don't be shy! -- Purrsia
2. Sounds good to me. - Dynasty San
3. Lol, I wish I could with my art...
4. I dunno! Depends on what the products were, who was on them, and how much money I had LOL -Al
5. Is this legal?
6. Erm, yeah, as long as I don't use any of the logos, characters, etc from ThunderCats. The poll question involves my own art of my own chracters...thus my wondering if there'd even be any interest. Believe me, I don't wanna go to jail either! ;) -- Purrsia
