For those of you interested in the music that accompanies the fic, here's a little supplement. On this page, you'll find full song credits, youtube video links whenever available, as well as a bit of insight into my reasoning for choosing the songs. :-) (Thanks to legal concerns, I'm no longer posting the entire song lyrics on this page...if you really wanna know, google 'em!)

Chapter One: Scarred But Smarter - Drivin n Cryin Words and music by Drivin n Cryin From the 1986 album Scarred But Smarter.
The song's title was the main reason I chose it to kick off my fan fic. But the song does fit the story lyrically in a few spots, too.
Chapter Two: Maps And Legends - R.E.M.
Words and music Berry/Buck/Mills/Stipe
From the 1985 album Fables of the Reconstruction.
A really hard song to decipher the lyrics. So again, it was chosen mainly for its title.
Chapter Three: Tilted - Sugar Words and Music by Bob Mould
From the 1993 EP Beaster.
This song is pretty much Grune's theme in my mind. Everything from the angry guitars to the lyrics fit how I perceive Grune. About the only thing that doesn't fit is the tele-evangelist overdub at the end. But that's because the song is supposed to be about Bob Mould's dark musings about the Easter season, heehee.
Chapter Four: The Lifting - R.E.M. Words and music Buck/Mills/Stipe
From the 2001 album Reveal.
Yes, I own a recently released album, haha. This tune not only helped me give a name to one of Felina's nifty tricks with the Book of Omens, but the song's lyrics fit what befell Cheetara in chapter four rather well. The youtube link leads to someone's home vid set to the song.
Chapter Five: Great Fire - XTC Words and music by Andy Partridge
From the 1983 album Mummer.
This was definitely a case of needing a song title and little else. The tune is actually a love song written as a metaphor of a burning inferno...not exactly what chapter 5 deals with heehee. But taken out of their romantic context, some of the lyrics fit quite well.
Chapter Six: Powerline - Husker Du Words and music by Bob Mould
From the 1985 album New Day Rising.
As if you can't tell by now, I'm a huge fan of Bob Mould's work in its various forms. This particular tune is simple yet totally fits the mood of chapter 6. This album also includes an oh so appropriate song called "How to Skin a Cat"...heehee.
Chapter Seven: Tenderness - General Public Words and Music by General Public
From the 1984 album All the Rage.
I just felt that the verse I included at chapter's end summed up Lion-O's and Felina's relationship. The song title added a nice touch of irony to the chapter. Otherwise, this song is just a snappy classic eighties gem!
Chapter Eight: Reign of Blows - XTC Words and music by Andy Partridge
From the 1984 album The Big Express.
Inside the album sleeve, this song has the peculiar sub-title of "Vote No Violence!" Which I suppose is fitting enough. Simply take out the direct references to the political clime of the day, and this tune fits chapter 8 wonderfully. Ironically, I owned this XTC album for over 10 years before I could be bothered with this track -- some things are an acquired taste, and XTC is one of them! Even for me!
Chapter Nine: Destination - The Church Words by Steve Kilbey and music by The Church
From the 1988 album Starfish.
This song is the most perfectly suited melody to be chosen to date. The moody tension of the music and the despondant lyrics are the ideal accompanyment for the destruction of Thundera and the resulting space journey.
Chapter Ten: Pray - E Words and music by E
From the 1992 album A Man Called E.
I can't write a romantic fic without a few sappy lovey-dovey tunes, right? Well, this is kinda one of them. Still, it's kinda a bittersweet song which marks the moment when Lion-O starts to have *some kind* of feelings for Felina....but how deep those feelings are and how long they'll last is anyone's guess.
Chapter Eleven: Everything Falls Apart - Husker Du Words and music by Bob Mould
Originally released on the 1983 album Everything Falls Apart.
Well, when you write a chapter that includes someone's deflowering, a bar brawl, a mine cave-in, *and* the collapse of the Black Pyramid....it's gotta be called "Everything Falls Apart"! :-p
Chapter Twelve: Egoverride - Bob Mould Words and music by Bob Mould
From the 1996 album Bob Mould.
If ever there was a song that seemed to fit Mumm-Ra, this is it! The music and lyrics come together to make one helluva a theme for Mummsie, heehee.
Chapter Thirteen: Defender - Manowar Words and music by Manowar
From the 1986 album Fighting the World.
This song was brought to my attention by the guy for whom the chapter is dedicated (thus the dedication...duh!). Tis quite a swell tune which goes extremely well in setting the mood for the Claudis/Lion-O moment at chapter's end. The youtube video is actually someone's AMV set to the song, but hey, you get to hear it so...that's the point!
Chapter Fourteen: Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order Words and music by New Order
From the 1990 album (The best of) New Order
Chapter Co-Theme: Let's Go (Nothing For Me) - New Order Words and music by New Order and Arthur Baker
From the 1990 album (The best of) New Order
The first song seems to sum up the chapter as a whole and also pinpoints Jaga's perspective of the whole sordid mess
I felt this chapter needed a second theme, and this tune fit the bill as depicting the situation from Grune's point of view.
Chapter Fifteen: Whatever - Husker Du Words and music by Bob Mould
From the 1984 album Zen Arcade.
Fits Jax, what can I say?
Chapter Sixteen: Deliver Us From the Elements - XTC Words and music by Colin Moulding
From the 1983 album Mummer.
The fact that it has "deliver" in the title and the song is about how nature can still pack a wallop...it fit this chapter very well.
Chapter Seventeen: The Devil You Know - Jesus Jones Words and music by Mike Edwards
From the 1993 album Perverse.
Mentions of the past and how the "devil you know" abounds, it made for another fitting song to tie to this chapter in particular.
Chapter Eighteen: Runaways - XTC Words and music by Colin Moulding
From the 1982 album English Settlement.
Figured this one summed up Jax's life back on Plundarr, and his desire to runaway from it.
Chapter Nineteen: Invisible Man - The Breeders Words and music by The Breeders
From the 1993 album Last Splash.
It's the perfect Tygra theme, and one ideal to explain why he likes to be invisible while underwater.
Chapter Twenty: Red Mosquito - Pearl Jam Words and music by Pearl Jam
From the 1996 album No Code.
Finding Tygra was the least of everyone's worry, after an insect bite sends Lion-O and tiny Velouria into the grips of fever and wild hallucinations.
Chapter Twenty One: What Difference Does It Make? - The Smiths Words and music by The Smiths
From the 1984 album Hatful of Hollow.
Seemed to match all the immature fighting and petty squabbling in this chapter ;)
Sidenote: Since youtube kept taking off the real video with the real Morrissey, I found this little gem with a cartoon Morrissey  Morrissey was emo when emo wasn't cool, heh heh. But was it ever?
Chapter Twenty Two: Standing At the Gate - E Words and music by E
From the 1993 album Broken Toy Shop
Lion-O and Felina are at a crossroads in their relationship, and the song fit.
Chapter Twenty Three: The Last Time - The Rolling Stones Words and music by Jagger/Richards
From the 1966 album Big Hits.
Just when things seem to be going right, things go very wrong.
Chapter Twenty Four: Shotgun Down the Avalanche - Shawn Colvin Words and music by Shawn Colvin
From the 1989 album Steady On.
A real avalanche is averted, but a emotional one is yet to come.
Chapter Twenty Five: Science of Silence - Richard Ashcroft Words and music by Richard Ashcroft
From the 2003 album Human Conditions.
Sometimes, things can be too quiet.
Chapter Twenty Six: Overkill - Men At Work Words and music by Men At Work
From the 1983 album Cargo.
Other times, things seem to happen all at once - it's overwhelming.
Chapter Twenty Seven: Only - Nine Inch Nails Words and music by Trent Reznor
From the 2005 album With Teeth.
Grune's got issues. Song contains some harsh language, so beware when clicking on the youtube link ;)
Chapter Twenty Eight: Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley Words and music by Jeff Buckley
From the 1994 album Grace.
